Kiersten Henderson, LMSW

Kiersten joined Nexus-PATH in 2022 as a school-based targeted case manager, working in partnership with Fargo Public Schools. She started as a Therapist in 2023 to continue fulfilling her passion for helping others.

Education/Experience: Kiersten completed her undergraduate program in social work, with a minor in psychology, from Florida State University, followed by receiving her master’s in social work from her alma mater. She is a licensed Master of Social Work and currently pursuing her clinical licensure with Nexus-PATH. Kiersten has experience working in outpatient mental health, school-based services, and community outreach. Kiersten is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Specialties: Kiersten has special interest in grief counseling and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She enjoys working with families to help strengthen relationships, and supporting her clients reach their personalized goals. Kiersten takes a strengths-based approach to treatment, assisting families and children with building upon the strengths they already possess to ensure the most effective and long-lasting results. 

Interests/Hobbies: Originally from Florida, moving to the Fargo area in 2022, Kiersten has quickly acclimated to our North Dakota climate and loves the Fargo-Moorhead community. She enjoys CrossFit, cooking, and spending time with her two golden retrievers.
