Navigators Transitional Living Program —
Programs for Boys Ages 17-20

Onarga Academy’s Navigators Transitional Living Program (TLP) is a “stepping-off” place for young men who are ready to transition to a more independent lifestyle in the areas of personal safety, education, self-medication, emotional management, public transportation, money management, cooking, employment skills, chemical health, positive leisure/recreation, accessing medical services, and seeking spiritual resources. Clients attend high school or college and/or secure gainful employment while residing at the home.

The Onarga TLP helps residents transition back to community living. While in the TLP, these young men learn life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and working, while living in a safe, stable, therapeutic home environment that is staffed with guiding adults. Youth focus on problem-solving and decision-making while they continue to address issues related to family, peer pressure dynamics, chemical use, vocational skill development, social skills, independent living skills, and healthy sexuality.
