A highly specialized and individualized program for high-needs girls, with a strong focus on experiential activity, family connection, emotional regulation, skill-building, community connection, and independent life experiences.
After more than a year of gathering feedback and planning from local Minnesota Counties, Nexus Glen Lake opened in September 2015 as Nexus’ first all-female program.
Nexus Glen Lake is located on a large campus with gardens that youth can maintain, a picnic area, and a basketball hoop. The secure facility is located at 14300 County Road 62, Minnetonka, MN.
Nexus Glen Lake’s is a specialized residential program for girls, ages 12-19, who have severe emotional and behavioral difficulties and have experienced multiple prior residential placements without success.
The primary goal of the program is to be the last residential program these young women will need.
To achieve successful outcomes, the program is highly specialized and individualized to each girl’s needs, with a strong focus on experiential activity, family connection, emotional regulation, skill-building, community connection, and independent life experiences.
